Voices
Voices 2026
Seven tellers will each share a 10-minute story that grants insight into their immigrant experience in the hope of expanding peoples' understanding, building empathy and a sense of community. Some stories will be familiar while others may provoke thought. You may laugh, sigh, cry or simply shrug but you are guaranteed to feel connected.
Surprise addition! As violence unfolds on the world stage and people suffer, we will try to continue our work of hearing stories that help us understand the experiences of people who are affected. Off Kendrik's Voices 2026 will do this by offering the stage to immigrants who must watch from afar as their country of origin gets engulfed in strife. So, in addition to the 7 featured tellers, Voices 2026 will feature a short panel with Amir, Elle and Mazdak who immigrated to the US from Iran 20 years ago to hear their memories and feelings about their close ones back home.
Friday, June 5, 7–9pm
Charles River Museum
Waltham, MA 02453

A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to Artist Standing with Immigrant Families (ASWIF), a coalition of artists and performing groups that have come together to support immigrant families.
Voices is a storytelling show modeled after The Moth. It brings to light the true, first-person experiences of South Asian Immigrants, including people from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Maldives.
The primary event for Voices is the Voices Mainstage Show. This showcases carefully curated stories and is held every other year as a public, ticketed production.
Voices has been honored to be part of the Boston Book Festival's LitCrawl for 2 consecutive years.
Off-Kendrik is always open to hearing new stories from the South Asian community.
